  • Hiking boots preferably at least category A/B and waterproof
  • Hiking clothing and socks (for example merino wool)
  • Waterproof jacket and trousers
  • Extra warm clothing, different layers and a down jacket

  • Sandals/flip-flops

  • A daypack and a duffel or larger backpack for on the camel
  • Sunglasses
  • Headlamp with rechargeable battery or spare batteries
  • Thermos flask, water bottle, hydration bladder, soft flasks
  • Sleeping mat, sleeping bag and possibly a pillow suitable for colder temperatures
  • A liner is optional
  • Camping cutlery, plate and cup
  • Rain cover and waterproof bags
  • Trekking poles are recommended
