Wild Woman
The Trip
Who says outdoors is only for men? We are a group of women with a hunger for adventure, an appetite for fun, an interest in the outdoors and a need for female togetherness. Wilderness guides Marie-Louise and Milou will take you into the wonderful world of wilderness. With a compass in your hand, a bunch of wild hair and a backpack on your back into the Ardennes. Experience the Wild Woman in yourself!
Venture out and be inspired by the beauty of nature. Being out in the wilderness provides the ultimate setting to let go of the delusion of the day and taste contentment in simplicity. Crossing rivers and conquering hills together to arrive at beautiful places. Here we enjoy the forest around us. Under a twinkling starry sky, we create memories by the campfire.
Learn essential skills such as setting up a tarp, making fire without matches, moving in the dark and discover which tracks belong to which animals. How can we read, interpret and use a natural environment around us to our advantage? Navigating with map and compass, orienting by the environment, the sun and stars, how does it work?
Learn more about what you can eat from nature. We’ll show you that weeds don’t actually exist, that every season has its own wild-picking charm, and that you’ll never have to buy tea again. Together we will cook outdoors in different ways without an elaborate kitchen.
From our own basecamp, we’ll work toward a final exercise where you’ll put all you’ve learned into practice, after which you’ll have the right skills and confidence for a wilder life with more outdoor adventures. Will you join us?

Theme and levels
Wild Skills is the theme of this group trip. This trip is designed for the adventurous group traveler who wants to learn more about wilderness skills. Physical activity is not the central theme during these days, but a good basic fitness level and experience with hiking through a natural environment are a requirement during this trip. In fact, in addition to the various wilderness activities, we will walk daily stretches through nature with a backpack.
