The Trip
You have bouldering, then nothing for a long time and then bouldering in Morocco. Deep in the Atlas Mountains at 2,700 meters elevation far from bustling Marrakech lies the serene Berber village of Oukaimeden surrounded by countless red sandstone boulders. These beautiful boulders in pristine nature offer endless options to challenge yourself at every level.
But what makes bouldering in Oukaimeden so special is its extraordinarily characteristic setting. Here a traditional existence is lived by the original inhabitants, the Berbers. The mountains are home to many shepherds and sheep. Climbing you do surrounded by breathtaking views of the peaks of the High Atlas. Therefore, it is also a perfect place to relax and recharge. A bouldering trip to Morocco is therefore not just about climbing. It is as much an adventure and an introduction to a wonderful hospitable culture. We are going to Morocco for a week of the best of Oukaimeden. And you can join us. We will guide you through the climbing areas and solemnly promise to take you to the best areas and projects. Whether you are a seasoned outdoor climber or a beginner wanting to give bouldering a try, there is something for everyone.
Packed with crash pads, climbing shoes, puff, topos, good company and our own bouldering coaches, we will create a basecamp among the boulders and help you navigate the rocks. As well as the intricacies of spotting, the do’s and don’ts in Morocco and how to be sustainable with nature. We arrange, you climb!

Theme and levels
Wild Fitness is the theme of this group trip. This means that physical activity, bouldering, takes center stage during these days. We boulder several days during the week and we walk through the mountains around Oukaimeden to the climbing areas. Therefore, an average level of fitness is required for this trip. Your bouldering level is not that important and experience in mountainous terrain is not necessary.

The cost includes:
- Six nights in our own chalet
- Two Dutch bouldering coaches/guides
- Breakfast, lunch and evening meals of local fare by Moroccan chef
- Crashpads
- Transfers to and from the airport in Marrakech and on-site transportation in Oukaimeden
Not included in this price is your flight to Marrakech, any personal expenses in catering establishments and mountaineering insurance. We advise you to take out this at the NKBV.
If there is enough interest we can extend the trip with a night in a traditional authentic mountain village. You can read more about this below in the program.
Logistics
Logistics within Morocco are organized by Rewild and are
included in the trip. You are free to travel to Marrakech
on your own and book your own flight, but in consultation we will look at
the best flight.
Nutrition and drinking
Food is organized by Rewild and is included in the
package price. This means breakfast, lunch and dinner during all days. Please bring
yourself any snacks for in between.
Travel guarantee and booking
The departure of this trip is guaranteed from 4 people. A maximum of 8 people can join the trip. This trip is a package tour and in order to comply with the legally required guarantee on package tours, Rewild uses the guarantee of VZR Garant. You can find the conditions of this guarantee scheme on the website of VZR Garant.
Insurance
To participate in Rewild trips, you must be insured for activities in mountainous areas off the beaten track. You can inquire about this with your current insurance company or purchase travel insurance from the Dutch Climbing and Mountaineering Association.

Travel Program
Day 1
Travel day to the Atlas
After our plane trip to Marrakech and onward transportation to Oukaimeden, we will get acquainted with Berber life in the Moroccan hinterland and explore the bouldering areas. You book the flight yourself. We will pick you up from the airport.
Day 2 through 6
Boulder till you drop!
These three days are all about bouldering, bouldering and more bouldering. Every day open a new area, a new scenery, new projects and new lines. We have breakfast and dinner in our chalet. During the day we can be found in the area: solving bouldering problems and picnicking. At the end of the day we will do a sunset bouldering session with the enthusiasts.
Day 7
Travel day back to the Netherlands or extension
There is a time of coming and a time of going. In this case, fulfilled and enriched. Or will you stay longer to discover the Moroccan Atlas lifestyle?
Day 8
Optional extension
After the intensive bouldering days, we offer the opportunity to explore the surroundings at an additional cost. We go on foot through the Atlas to a beautifully situated gite where we get acquainted with the culture and hospitality in the mountains. We sleep here with the Berbers in an authentic village. After one or two nights in the mountains you will be picked up for transportation to the airport.

How do I book a trip on your website?
Simply find your destination, choose your dates and follow the steps to complete your booking. You will receive the confirmation by e-mail.
Can I cancel or change my booking?
Yes, cancellation is possible according to our terms and conditions: up to 8 weeks before departure you pay only the deposit, after that increasing costs apply up to 100% just before departure.
Do you offer travel insurance?
No, we do not offer travel insurance ourselves. We recommend mountaineering insurance through the NKBV.
Are there any hidden fees or service charges?
No, there are no hidden costs. All unavoidable additional costs are clearly stated in advance in the travel price.
Do you also rent equipment or materials?
Yes, some of the required equipment is available for rent on our trips. We offer these rental options during the booking process. There you can see exactly what gear is available and add it directly to your booking. That way you don’t have to arrange this separately in advance.
What payment methods do you accept?
You can pay with us easily and safely via iDEAL and Bancontact. It is also possible to pay by bank transfer. All payments go through our secure booking system Bookinglayer.
