The Trip

Grow your Leadership by increasing your Robustness and Resilience

How are the hands of my compass? How well can I hold my course? How stable am I on a slippery path? How much adversity can I endure? What happens when my legs burn and my breath screams? I have said yes and the ambition to make it. But how robust and resilient am I really? Can, do or dare I handle the heat of the climb, the wetness of torrential rain?

You are invited to join us on an outdoor track in remote and rewarding terrain. To go inward and outward. Our thoughts, conversations and steps take us into the mountain wilderness of Scotland’s west coast. Over game trails, poor ground, rocky half-trails and ridges with steep sides. The route will be as real as it is metaphorical. For we talk as we walk.

Together we reflect on ourselves, on who we are or rather who we have become. We support each other in asking fundamental questions. Questions such as: Why am I or am I not doing what I (don’t) want to do? How did I become who I am today? What life experiences are crucial in this? How do they influence me? Do I still like myself? Where do I like, where don’t I like? What is authentic and what is learned? How does this express itself in my leadership, in my work, in my private life? In my ambition? In the inspiration I seek? Am I still sure of the path I am on? Profound questions aimed at resetting my course and increasing my inner comfort. Questions that fit seamlessly with the rugged and wild environment in which we find ourselves.

Theme and levels

The theme of this trip is Leadership Reset. You will reflect on your leadership in an off-grid environment, away from routines, comfort and distractions. Without phones and watches, we use the simplicity of nature as a catalyst for focus, new insights and personal growth. Each day consists of hiking, questioning, reflecting and conversations along the way.

Participating requires a fit body, open attitude and character. The days are physical: about 15 kilometers a day, sometimes a lot of altimeters, tough and slow terrain and unpredictable Scottish weather without shelters. With a full backpack, we run camp together and move through raw wilderness. No experience with wild camping is necessary; we will guide you and teach you the skills to travel comfortably and self-sufficiently. Before participating, we do a brief intake focused on your goals and preparation.

Impression

Your guides on this trip

We form a group of four to six participants and three guides. The participants are senior leaders and high potentials, each with dreams as well as scars. The guides accompany both the trek through the mountains and the inner journey. What connects us is a desire for inspiration, greater self-insight and living fully. We are open to reflection, sharing, supporting each other and challenging our egos. Together we take the next step in self-leadership to be a powerful, positive influence in work and at home.
