The Trip
On the southeast coast of the Sinai Peninsula in Egypt surrounded by the azure waters of the Red Sea and imposing desert mountains lies the alternative hippie town of Dahab. In the serene backcountry between the wadis and jebels you will find countless granite boulders waiting to be climbed by you. We’re heading to Egypt for a week of the best of Dahab. And you can join us. Together with the Bedouins we will guide you through the climbing areas and we solemnly promise to take you to the most beautiful spots and challenging projects.
Whether you are a seasoned outdoor climber or a beginner wanting to give bouldering a try, this area offers endless opportunities to challenge yourself at any level. Packed with crash pads, climbing shoes, puff, topos, good company and our own bouldering coaches, we will create a basecamp among the boulders and help you navigate the rocks. As well as the intricacies of spotting, the do’s and don’ts in Egypt, and the sustainable management of nature. We arrange, you climb.
The Bedouins here still live according to traditional customs and manage natural resources in a sustainable way, following ancient traditions that sometimes even date back to pre-Islamic times. They show us the best-kept secrets of the area, we take time for a beautiful hike through the canyons of Sinai and spend the night in a traditional Bedouin camp, under a twinkling starry sky where we share stories by the campfire with Bedouin tea. A bouldering trip in Dahab is thus not only a climbing adventure, it is equally an introduction to a wonderful, welcoming culture. Of course, we end the bouldering efforts on the coast, enjoying the local cuisine.
