Caucasus Experience Georgia
The Trip
Deep in the Greater Caucasus lies a mysterious alpine lake “Tobavarchkhili. The name literally means ‘Silver Lake’ and refers to the beauty of the mountainous surroundings, which is brilliantly reflected in the lake. Due to its remote location, a visit is not for the average traveler and even among the locals, most know the place only by name and reputation. But according to the locals, this is the most beautiful place on earth, something you must have been to once in a lifetime. And so do we. That’s why we take you on a journey of discovery into the Caucasus. Wild, untouched and unprecedentedly beautiful!
Our Caucasus experience begins in full style with a visit to families in an authentic mountain village. Georgian style, the Kamaz takes us into the mountains after which we dive into the wilderness, accompanied by shepherds and horses carrying our sleeping gear, food and tents. We head to Samegrelo province and make our way through the mountainous landscape of Silver Lake, where we explore the area. We sleep in tents and our food we cook outside on the fire. After 6 days of wild nature, it is time for a typical Georgian farewell dinner.
If there is enough interest (minimum of 5 persons) there is the possibility to extend the trip after the wild camping trip with four days of hiking in the mountainous province of Svaneti. The travelers before you described this as an absolute must, not to be missed!

Theme and levels
The theme of this trip is Wild Roots: a trip to a place where nature and culture are inseparable. We want to give you a pure Georgian Caucasus experience and therefore go deep into the area. For this trip a good basic condition and experience with hiking in mountainous terrain is desirable. Experience with (wild) camping or Wild Human is a plus, but not necessary.
