Our offer

Would you like to experience what a real group trip with children does to you? At Rewild, a group trip with children is not a passive vacation, but an active dive into the world of craftsmanship and nature. We head into the wilderness together to put techniques into practice and challenge ourselves physically in the most rugged areas. Every group trip with kids we organize is aimed at giving you as a family the skills to be comfortable in the great outdoors, regardless of the elements.

Whether you book as a family or with acquaintances, during our group tours with children you are part of a compact team of like-minded people. We have divided our offerings into four specializations: Wild Roots, Wild Skills, Wild Fitness and Wild Reset. So you choose exactly the discipline that suits your collective hunger for adventure and self-reliance.

PARENT-CHILD WEEKEND ARDENNES

Check out the available dates for our Wild Human parent-child weekend in the Ardennes. During these unique group trips with children we leave the digital world behind to focus together on real craftsmanship in nature. Do you still doubt if this bushcraft weekend is suitable for you, or do you want to fine-tune something specific for your participation? Or are you ready for it and do you want to claim your spot right away? We are happy to think along with you about the details of this group trip with kids, so it will be an experience you will never forget as a family.

WHAT DO YOU LEARN ON A GROUP TRIP WITH CHILDREN?

The forests of the Ardennes and the rugged valleys of Luxembourg are the ultimate backyard for families looking to explore the wilderness. The huge variety of landscapes and natural materials makes these regions a living classroom. On our group trips with children, you will not only learn how to play outdoors, but how to stay comfortable together as a family in nature. It’s the perfect place to trade screens for a campfire and make memories together that will last a lifetime.

It’s all about becoming masters of the elements together. You will learn how to make fire responsibly as a team, how to build a waterproof shelter and how to work safely with tools. These group tours with kids are much more than a standard vacation; it’s an active dive into the world of craftsmanship, where both parents and kids push their limits and gain new skills that you can apply anywhere in the world.

In addition, you will learn to look at the world around you with different eyes. Which plants can you eat? Which tracks belong to which animal? The Ardennes and Luxembourg offer the peace and space to really fathom these skills, away from the daily hustle and bustle. During such a parent-child weekend you will discover that nature is the best learning school for self-reliance, creativity and interconnectedness.

rewild Frequently Asked Questions

INTO THE WILDERNESS TOGETHER

At Rewild, you are not tourists, but part of the group. We travel with a compact team of like-minded families in which each child can explore at their own pace. The small-scale nature of these group tours with children quickly creates a relaxed atmosphere where children learn from each other and parents share experiences around the campfire.

MASTER THE ELEMENTS

Stop hoping for nice weather and learn how to make the outdoors your own. During these group tours with children, our guides will show you the techniques for making fire, even when it rains. Building a sturdy hut together that will keep you dry will give a huge boost to each family member’s self-confidence.

CRAFTSMANSHIP FOR YOUNG AND OLD

Take the step from spectator to active forest dweller. We will teach you how to work safely and responsibly with essential tools such as a knife or saw. By working on your own during your group trip with children, you will develop a form of self-reliance that will come in handy on any future camping trip or hiking trip.

NATURE AS A JOURNEY OF DISCOVERY

We share our knowledge about the landscape, so that a forest is never again “just” a collection of trees. You will learn to recognize edible plants and read animal tracks in the most remote corners of the Ardennes and Luxembourg. This “secret language” of nature turns every hike into a journey of discovery. After this group trip with children, you will look at the outside world with a totally different perspective.

COMING HOME TO NATURE

The uncertainty disappears as soon as you learn to read the landscape. During the group trip, you and your children learn to understand the language of the forest. You stop “visiting” and begin to feel at home anywhere in the outdoors because you no longer fear the environment but understand it.

COMFORT THROUGH CRAFTSMANSHIP

Where survival stops, real enjoyment begins. We teach you to use the elements to your advantage. The result is a weekend without suffering, but full of peace and satisfaction. By gaining mastery over basic techniques and tools, you will create your own comfort as a family in the midst of rugged nature.

GROUP TRAVEL WITH CHILDREN: WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE?

Often survival and bushcraft are lumped together, but for a group trip with children, the difference is essential. Whereas survival is about emergencies and being “rescued” as quickly as possible, bushcraft is about the art of staying put. It is the knowledge and skill of not only surviving, but actually making it pleasant and comfortable in the wilderness.

During our parent-child weekends in the Ardennes and Luxembourg the focus is entirely on this craftsmanship. We teach children and parents to work with nature instead of fighting against it. This approach takes the stress out of the experience and replaces it with self-confidence. You are no longer a passerby hoping it stays dry, but a resident of the forest who knows how to build a warm and dry camp.

FOR WHICH FAMILIES?

This experience in nature is suitable for any family that loves the outdoors and feels the need to become more self-sufficient together. You do not need to be an experienced “outdoorsman”; a curious and active attitude from both parents and children is most important. It is not about who is the strongest, but about patience, technique and observation. Families who want to ‘disconnect’ completely from the digital world and get back to the essence together in the forests of the Ardennes or Luxembourg, get the most out of this weekend.

TOGETHER IN THE WOODS

A group trip with children becomes even more valuable when you share it with like-minded families. During the trip, you pull together, divide up camp tasks and the kids learn from each other’s insights while the parents share experiences. The combination of learning new skills and social interaction around the campfire creates a sense of community that stays with them for a long time. Within Rewild, the focus is on small-scale groups and personal guidance, creating a conscious and personalized way of learning for the whole family.
